Print, Stamp, Repeat

Print. Stamp. Repeat!

A fusion of traditional printmaking and found object stamping. Practically anything can be inked and printed to create dynamic designs and patterns – from the garden to the toolbox. Introduction to design through pattern printing on paper and fabrics – decorating functional clothing, small folded books, and wall art. Campers will experiment and collaborate with cyanotype, monoprinting, gyotaku, and more!

Campers!! Let’s explore art in all kinds of ways. We’ll look at and hear about famous artists and explore their styles.

We’ll experiment with all sorts of art media like print making, acrylic painting on canvas, batik-ing, sculpture from found object, faux stained glass and so much more!

Puppets and Props and Music Play – AM: ALMOST FULL

In this rare small setting summer camp artist/entertainer /educator Mark Dannon Herbert will be leading the class on a learning adventure exploring some of the visual and musical elements used for his band Broccoli Brothers Circus. Participants will make several of their own puppets and props and develop characters and skits over the course of the week. Sure to be a fun experience to remember!

In this course campers will get to explore a papier-mâché approach to mask making. We’ll brainstorm ideas and get our gears running for a creative mask making extravaganza! We can explore and talk about all sorts of themes like animals, critters, creatures, things from our life, things that we see, or anything we can imagine.
