Tours at CAM

Schedule a guided tour (minimum of five (5) people / maximum of thirty (30) people) of  Cameron Art Museum by contacting 910.395.5999 ext. 1006 or emailing education@cameronartmuseum.org.

 

Guided Tours and Boundless Tours: Reservation requests must be made two (2) weeks in advance of the requested date.

CAM & Art Tours: Reservation requests must be made at least four (4) weeks in advance of the requested date.

Please notify the museum at 48 hours’ notice before your tour for cancellations.

 

Please provide the following information when reserving your tour:

  • Type of tour you are requesting (see below for options and pricing).
  • Contact person, phone number, and email address.
  • Number of people in your party.
  • Age range.
  • Two (2) dates and times that you would like for your tour.
  • Any special requests regarding (duration, specific focus, etc).
  • Number of chaperones
    • For children 12 and under – 1 chaperone per 5 students is admitted free of charge.
    • For children over 12, 1 chaperone per 10 students is admitted free of charge.

Guided Tours

Engage more deeply with CAM’s current exhibitions and our outdoor public sculpture Boundless by participating in a guided tour. Led by CAM Education Staff and Museum Tour Guides, learn about the artists and works on display, while taking part in dynamic discussions inspired by open-ended questions. Each tour is customized for the age range of the participants.

 

Pre-K and Elementary Students: $5 per student

Middle, High School, and College Student: $10 per student

Adults: $18 per person

Includes tax

 

We can accommodate groups of thirty (30) at a time.

Please submit one (1) payment for the entire group upon arrival.

Boundless Tours

These specialized tours focus on Boundless, a public sculpture by artist Stephen Hayes commemorating the United States Colored Troops (USCT) and their fight for freedom during the Civil War. Through a lively presentation and discussion led by Cultural Curator, Daniel Jones, learn about the significance of the Battle of Forks Road, and the continued research of the soldiers and stories that led to the Union capture of Wilmington.

This tour takes place outdoors at the PNC USCT Sculpture Park and does not include the gallery exhibitions.

 

Pre-K, Elementary, Middle, High School, and College Students: $5 per student

Adults: $10 per person

CAM & Art Tours

Following a guided tour, you can enhance the museum experience through exhibition-inspired, hands-on activities. The museum will be happy to work with you to connect the tour and a follow-up project with your interests or curriculum.

Middle, High School, and College: $15 per student

CAM Tour & Lunch

Enjoy an afternoon of art and delicious food by booking your guided tour and enjoying lunch at CAM Café.

Lunch reservations will need to be made directly through CAM Café at (910) 777-2363

 

Guided Tour: $18 per adult
Includes tax

Cost of Lunch: Separate restaurant charge

Due to dining capacity in the café, larger groups will be moved into our spacious Reception Hall for an additional fee.
