Visiting Artist Workshops

Expand your skills and improve your practice

The Museum School is expanding to offer new immersive workshops in collaboration with visiting and exhibition artists.  Explore new techniques and processes with nationally- and internationally-renowned artists, as well as artists on view in the CAM galleries. These workshops offer extended hours and small class sizes to allow students to get the most out of their time with instructors.
Please review our refund and waitlist policies, as they differ for these unique  opportunities.

Atmospheric Landscapes in Watercolor with Prafull Sawant

This three-day Visiting Artist Intensive is designed for artists seeking to deepen their understanding of composition, light, and mood through atmospheric architectural and urban landscapes. Led by internationally renowned watercolor master Prafull Sawant, the workshop guides participants in transforming complex cityscapes into expressive paintings. Participants will learn to simplify architecture, control tonal values, and create a convincing sense of atmosphere using techniques Prafull has refined through decades of international teaching and plein-air practice.

The workshop combines in-depth demonstrations, guided individual practice, and group discussions, allowing participants to learn by both observation and hands-on painting.
