If you are bringing a large group of visitors to explore on their own, we strongly encourage you to contact the CAM Education Assistant at [email protected]. This is especially helpful if you are bringing a group of children or students. We can provide information in advance of your visit that will enhance your museum experience!

Free with Museum Admission
Make the most of your visit with our weekly public tour, offered every Wednesday at 1 PM. Check in at the front desk when you arrive.
If you are bringing a large group of visitors, we recommend scheduling a tour.
Visitor Guidelines
We’re committed to ensuring a welcoming, safe, and respectful experience for all guests and for the art on view.
Please help us care for the museum environment by following these guidelines:


Art Safety and Gallery Etiquette

Do not touch the artwork or exhibition materials.

Maintain at least two feet of distance from all artworks.
-
Refrain from leaning on walls, pedestals, or display cases.

Photography is welcome—just no flash, tripods, selfie sticks, gimbals, or equipment that extends your reach.

Sketching and note-taking are welcome using pencils only. No ink, markers, charcoal, or wet media are permitted.
Children & Families
- Children of all ages are always welcome but must be supervised by an adult at all times.
- Strollers are allowed throughout the museum.
Food & Drink

Food and beverages are not allowed in the galleries, only the lobby/galleria area.

Tables for food and drink are located directly outside each gallery.
Bags & Backpacks

Oversized bags and backpacks are not permitted in the galleries.

You may be asked to leave large bags at the front desk or wear them on one shoulder or in front of your body to prevent accidental contact with artworks.

Exception: Bags containing medical equipment are always allowed.
Service Animals

Service animals trained to perform specific tasks for a person with a disability are welcome at CAM.

Emotional support, therapy, or companion animals are not considered service animals under the ADA.

If a service animal is not under control, staff may ask that the animal be removed from the premises. The handler is welcome to remain without the animal.

Located in the heart of Cameron Art Museum, our full-service restaurant serves local, fresh, and eclectic food and cocktails for lunch, brunch, and dinner. You don’t need a museum membership or to pay admission to enjoy the Café!
