CAMERON ART MUSEUM: THE COLLECTION

This reinstallation of the CAM collection looks at the evolving narrative of the museum’s permanent collection. As Wilmington, our region, and state have grown and evolved over the years since the museum was founded, so too has Cameron Art Museum’s collection. This reinstallation of the permanent collection situates North Carolina in a global context, and the exhibition features over 60 works, including paintings, sculpture, prints, and photographs, by local, national, and internationally known artists. Specific galleries will focus on beloved landscapes, prints from the collection, and new acquisitions.

Artists include Romare Bearden, John Beerman, Mary Cassatt, Judy Chicago, Salvador Dali, Minnie Evans, Maud Gatewood, Claude Howell, Hiroshi Sueyoshi, Kara Walker, and many others.
