Please join us for Kids@CAM as we commemorate the 161st Anniversary of the Battle of Forks Road and honor the United States Colored Troops (USCT) who fought in it.

Children will create their own drum inspired by the drummer boy in the Boundless sculpture and make 3D silhouette artwork representing the soldiers featured in the monument. A family-friendly tour of Boundless, located outdoors in PNC USCT Park, will take place at 11:30 am.
Boundless, the public sculpture by NC artist Stephen Hayes, honors the USCT and their fight for freedom. This bronze sculpture stands proudly on our museum grounds as the centerpiece of this commemoration. Learn more about Boundless.
