When Math Makes Art And Art Makes Music
Create art in the galleries! Work with an award winning musical composer and a college-level visual arts instructor to explore the Greek philosopher Plato’s mathematical descriptions of sound and shape. Plato’s numeric intervals will be played on a keyboard and translated by participants into visual designs using basic geometric shapes. The workshop will culminate in participant designs being expressed as song by the musical composer.
