Monotype with Underglaze on Clay
Spend a day in the studio exploring surface decoration on clay through monotype printing with underglaze. This workshop introduces a simple transfer process that allows you to draw or paint on a smooth surface and print the image onto leather-hard clay. Participants will build a small set of tiles or forms and apply multiple prints to test composition and color interaction. The pace is steady, with demonstrations in the morning and guided work time in the afternoon. No prior experience is required, though some familiarity with clay is helpful. Tools and underglazes are provided; bring a sketchbook and ideas. Finished pieces will be fired after the workshop and available for pickup later. Expect small group instruction and individual feedback throughout the session day
