Explore the relief printmaking method of Linocut to create striking images. This class is perfect for both the beginner and students with some experience. Learn the basics of planning and carving your design into a linoleum block. Then learn proper inking and printing techniques. Explore printing in black ink to create bold images and play with creative ways to print in color including reduction linocut. Tap into your creativity and see what you can create! $15.00 due to instructor covers printing papers, (2) 5"x7" linoleum plates and inking palette
Please come to first class with an image.
Linocut cutter set (handle with a variety of cutters);
Soft rubber brayer 3-1/2”or 4”;
Speedball water-soluble block printing ink 2.5 oz-Black (colors optional);
1” flexible flat palette knife or putty knife;
Pencil and paper to sketch ideas;
Tracing paper and/or graphite transfer paper;
Black marker or brush pen;
Optional: Bench hook, disposable gloves
