Gel Print Collage/Mixed Media

Gel printing offers a fun process of exploring abstract printmaking that results in papers perfect for any mixed media or collage project. This two day intensive starts with basic fundamentals of gel printing, along with stencils, design techniques and color combos. Students will create an array of collage studies with compositional insights and other collage materials to create an array of evocative, colorful mixed media studies.  All levels welcome.

Supplies:

$5 supply fee payable to the instructor for gel plates, brayers, basic paint colors and a variety of papers.

Bring what acrylic paints you might have on hand.
Printer paper, deli paper, tissue paper, old book pages, rice papers, maps, etc that you have on hand..
Pad of 140# watercolor paper, at least 9 x 12”
Glue sticks, acrylic glazing liquid, or modge podge for gluing.
