Animal Portraiture

Come all you animal lovers and paint your furry friends! We will learn about color mixing, glazing, brush work, and techniques for painting fur while creating a portrait of your fluffy companion. Oil painting preferred but acrylic and watercolor supported. Beginners are welcome.

Supplies:

Oil painters: titanium white, raw sienna, burnt sienna, burnt umber, yellow ochre, violet, cerulean blue paints. Paper towels, a sealable jar for turpenoid or mineral spirits. A variety of filbert brushes from #2 through #6. Canvases 9" x 12" and/or 11" x 14".
Acrylic or watercolor painters: similar colors and brushes. A vessel for water. Paper towels, pencils, watercolor paper or canvas for acrylic (9" x 12", 11" x 14")
