Slow Art Day

Celebrate Slow Art Day at CAM, an international day that encourages participants to experience art at a more mindful pace. Visitors can participate with a self-guided activity for all ages. Free with museum admission.
On average, people only spend 8 seconds looking at any one artwork. Slow-Looking challenges museum attendees to spend several minutes looking at one artwork. We invite you to notice the subtle details through sustained looking and connect with the artists and artworks more deeply.
