Join Wilmington Voices, New Hanover County's only professional choral ensemble. The mixed choir will perform classical & contemporary choral works and spirituals with masterful attention to musical detail. Guest artist Dr. Justin Hoke, UNCWs professor of guitar studies, will join the group for a beautiful selection featuring guitar and voices.
Donations are greatly appreciated and will be accepted at the door. Please stop by Visitor Services to get a sticker for entry to the Reception Hall.

North Carolina is home to a rich diversity of voices, and this is reflected in its community of Latin American artists. Work from Lugar de Encuentros | Place of Encounters often straddles two worlds, reflecting both birthplace and chosen home, exploring both tension and harmony in the relationship between the two. From film to installation art to paintings to photography, this exhibition delves into the variety of migrant experiences, offering a space for connection, a chance to encounter another’s experience through art. Artists include Nico Amortegui, Cornelio Campos, Rodrigo Dorfman, Mario Marzan, Renzo Ortega, and Rosalia Torres-Weiner.
Carolina del Norte es el hogar de una rica diversidad de voces, y esto se refleja en su comunidad de artistas latinoamericanos. Enjoy a morning of music in the galleries, adapted exhibition exploration, as well as optional hands on activities and the choice to bring a boxed lunch to enjoy in our café or courtyard area. Geared towards individuals in the earlier stages of Alzheimers and dementia, this program is offered on Mondays when we are otherwise closed to the public to ensure a quiet and calm environment. Closing the Gap

Please join us on Thursday, May 25 from 4-7pm. We will have a workshop that weaves together two of the outdoor works on our grounds, Boundless and the BLDM installation.
Following our workshop, we will have our second event in our Sundown Performance Series! The concert is free to the public, so invite your friends and family to join you at 7pm. Kevin Locklear Melvin, Cultural Historic Preservation Officer for the Lumbee Tribe, will be speaking alongside a musical performance with a tribal member.
