New Members Coffee Meet & Greet

New CAM members are invited to come to a tour led by Executive Director Anne Brennan. Starting with coffee and pastries at 10:00 AM, Anne will then lead a tour of Phil Freelon's photography in "Structure in Space and Time" exhibit.

Beautiful Squares

Join us on Josef Albers birthday for board games of squares and learn some interesting facts about Albers, artist of Homage to the Square, and other artists in The Eye Learns who incorporate squares in their works. Polish your tiddly wink skills and check out books about Albers in the shop.

Art Explorer Thursdays

Come and bring your little ones to the Cameron Art Museum for a morning of story reading, museum exploration and art making. We gather at 10am for story time, then we head into the galleries to see what we can find – strollers welcome! We finish up our morning making art together.

Art Explorer Thursdays is designed for infants, toddlers and Pre-K age children, though older brothers and sisters are always welcome to join. We understand that all children have different attention spans – especially near nap time – so feel free to leave whenever is best for you.

We hope to reschedule in the future, keep up via CAM FB and eNews: Violinist Charlotte Munn-Wood (www.charlotte-munn-wood.com), an outspoken proponent of experimental sounds and expression, plays a concert of music for solo violin (plus singing, vocalizing, electronics and other fun accessories). She is an active chamber musician, commissioner, curator, and teacher in New York City and beyond.

Will be rescheduled,keep up via CAM FB, eNews and website: Join Opera Wilmington (www.operawilmington.org) at CAM for a tuneful take on the Great American Songbook. Seven of Opera Wilmington’s favorite singers will perform songs that have endured in the popular repertoire for decades. They will also pay tribute to the late Philip Furia who, with the help of his wife Laurie Patterson, brought so many stories behind the songs to WHQR listeners through his daily segments on George Scheibner’s Standard Time. CAM Members: $22.00, Non-Members: $30.00. CAM Café will have a cash bar and light bites for purchase beginning at 3:30 pm.

Barry David Salwen, one of Wilmington’s favorite performers, headlines a recital by UNCW’s finest music students with a varied and exciting program of piano music and more which will feature Salwen playing piano music connected with prints from CAM’s exhibition "The Eye Learns: Modernist Prints from the Louis Belden Collection". Will be rescheduled,keep up via CAM FB, eNews and website: Closing out Season Ten of the series on a high note is John Brown, making his first Jazz@CAM appearance. The popular musicians is an accomplished and renowned bassist, composer, educator and actor who performs actively as a band leader and as a sideman. Brown currently serves as Director of the Jazz Program and Associate Professor of the Practice of Music at Duke University.
CAM/CFJS Members: $17.00, Non-members: $25.00, Students with valid college ID $12.00 (tax and fees not included). Purchase seats on CAM’s website, by phone and at CAM’s Visitor Services desk.
