Instructor: Janice Castiglione
CAM member: $144; Not-yet-member: $180
Saturday-Sunday, November 5-6, 10-4pm & 12-4pm
We had so much fun in the last Yupo class, we're going to do it again! Paint with watercolor paint and WC materials on this paper. Yupo is an archival plastic paper. The water and paint don't absorb into the paper, leaving more time to manipulate the paint. We will use other materials for special effects and have fun exploring. Each day will begin with a demo.

Instructor: Alan Cradick

Saturday, November 5, 10am-12pm, & Sunday November 6, 1-3pm
In this workshop participants will offer a white board with "I Am" written on the top to people on the street and invite them to complete the thought by writing down their feelings. We will then make a portrait with the person and the board. By working with strangers to create a photograph in half a minute, this workshop will hone the photographer's interpersonal and portrait skills. On Saturday, we will meet at the corner of Market and Front streets downtown. Sunday we will gather for a conversation about the work.

Learn to use the color purple in multiple ways. Use it as a background to make other colors stand out. Use it as a small linear element with certain colors that make the purple stand out. Explore blue purples and red purples by mixing color. Purple is a magical color that invites lovers in the shadows. It's a mystical color. We will begin painting with purple or another color depending on the mood you wish to create. But purple will always appear eventually. Once dry, pastels will be used to enhance your painting creating texture and lines. We will be using foliage, plants, vegetables and whatever I can find to paint from. Professional tempera paint will be supplied.
