SUMMARY:Mindfulness Meditation
DESCRIPTION:Mindfulness Meditation in the Galleries\nFriday\, June 20\, 9 – 9:50 AM | Free Introductory Session\n\nJoin us in a contemplative gallery space for an introduction to mindfulness meditation\, taught by Certified Teacher Bonne Lynn Anderson. \nSimply put\, mindfulness is the practice of bringing attention to the present moment and meeting whatever arises without bias or criticism. Scientific research shows it can also enhance balance\, focus\, strength\, and resilience. \nMindfulness meditation is a secular practice\, accessible to all\, and deeply beneficial both on and off the cushion. \nAbout the Instructor:\nBonne Lynn Anderson is a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher through Dharma Moon and Tibet House. Her lifelong interest in spiritual practice has led her to explore a range of teachings\, with this practice in particular emerging as her most effective and accessible path. Her teaching style is friendly\, grounded\, and welcoming to all experience levels. \nNote: The galleries can be cool—bring a garment for comfort. \n\nREGISTER HERE\n\n\n\nLearn more about Wellness at CAM here.\n\nFor questions or concerns regarding accessibility\, please contact Georgia Mastroieni\, Deputy Director of Operations at (910) 726-9492 or georgia@cameronartmuseum.org

The work in this exhibition offers glimpses into the world of each artist and engages the viewer in conversation about what it means to navigate a landscape of access and ability. \nGuest Curator: Aaron Wilcox
