With a commitment to compassionate care\, innovation\, and community well-being\, Novant Health strives to help people live their healthiest lives and brings remarkable experiences to life for patients\, team members\, and communities across the Carolinas. \nNovant Health Day at CAM celebrates the connection between wellness and the arts — a relationship supported by a growing body of research showing that engagement with visual art\, creative processes\, and cultural experiences enhances physical\, emotional\, and social well-being. According to national research\, Americans recognize that arts participation can positively influence personal health and overall quality of life\, contributing to stress reduction\, community connection\, and heightened personal well-being.  \n“As an organization devoted to the health and well-being of the communities we serve\, Novant Health understands that wellness extends beyond clinical care\,” said September Krueger\, Cameron Art Museum’s Curator of Education and Public Programs. “Art and creativity offer powerful ways to support emotional balance\, mindfulness\, and human connection — core pieces of a healthy life.” \nHighlights of Novant Health Day at CAM include: \n\nWellness + Art Experiences: Meet CAM’s Art Enhances Health staff and explore examples of student artwork created in this innovative wellness-oriented program created for cancer patients and their caregivers— connecting artistic expression to emotional resilience and community well-being.\nPop-Up Meditation in the Galleries: Take part in a guided meditation session amid inspiring artwork\, blending mindfulness practice with the restorative benefits of contemplative art viewing.\nSpecial CAM Membership Offer: Novant employees can take advantage of discounted memberships available only on March 7.\n\nThis event is part of Cameron Art Museum’s ongoing commitment to wellness through art\, aligning with research showing that creative engagement supports mental\, emotional\, and social health — and reinforcing the museum’s belief that meaningful cultural experiences are essential to community well-being. For more information about wellness programs at CAM\, including yoga and meditation in the galleries\, Connections tours for people in the early stages of Alzheimer’s and dementia and their caregivers\, and more\, visit cameronartmuseum.org/wellness.
