Kahl\nThursday\, November 20 | 11 AM and 2 PM\n\n\nSee the new\, luminous works by glass artist Fred Kahl on one of two member preview tours. The opening night celebration will be held later in the evening from 6-9 PM; see more info and register for opening night here. \nMagic\, Light and Sacred Geometry: Glassworks by Frederick G. Kahl is the culmination of the artist’s decade-long inquiry into the immersive and meditative quality of light.  \nPresented in partnership with Starworks\, a non-profit art studio and gallery in Star\, NC. Kahl’s work emerges from his summer 2025 residency at Starworks\, reflecting a decade of inquiry into the transformative qualities of light. \n\n\n\nMember Preview Tours \nMembers are invited from 10 AM-5 PM to get an early sneak peak at these two new exhibitions. Members-only tours will be held at 11 AM and 2 PM and are free to members.

Kahl and the outdoor installation debut of Nested: Where Light Gathers and Nature Holds by Meredith Connelly. \nInside the galleries\, explore Frederick Kahl’s radiant glass forms in Magic\, Light\, and Sacred Geometry—a decade-long exploration of light\, reflection\, and craftsmanship. At 6:30 PM\, Kahl will present an illustrated talk on the innovative techniques and technologies behind his intricate works\, created during his 2025 residency with Starworks in Star\, NC. \nStep outdoors to see Nested: Where Light Gathers and Nature Holds – Outdoor Illuminated Installation by Meredith Connelly\, which will transform CAM’s courtyard into a glowing celebration inspired by nature and living forms. The work invites reflection on the beauty\, resilience\, and interconnectedness of the natural world. \nThroughout the evening\, enjoy: \n\nA live set by DJ Louis\nFree bourbon tastings from Ian Williams of Cook’s Mill\nAccess to all 3 of CAM’s galleries\, open and alive with incredible new fall exhibitions\nFood and drinks available for purchase at CAM Café\, open from 5-9 PM.
