We’ll be reading From My Window by Otavio Junior and Vanina Starkoff. \nThis storytime session is perfect for infants\, toddlers\, and preschoolers\, though older siblings are welcome to join. Your registration includes admission to the museum for the whole day\, so you and your little ones can continue exploring after the program. Jackson and Carmen Neely. \nAyana V. Jackson’s work examines myths of the Black diaspora\, re-staging colonial archival images as a means to liberate the Black body. With a background in both sociology and fine art\, Jackson brings rigorous research to each project—often casting herself in the role of historical figures to explore the cultural and social histories embedded in the imagery. \nCarmen Neely’s painting practice is rooted in abstraction\, which she uses as a conceptual tool to explore themes of identity and memory.
