DESCRIPTION:Join us for Mary’s Art Explorers on Thursday\, February 13th\, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the Pancoe Education Building. We’ll be reading I Love You Already! by Jory John and Benji Davies. \nThis storytime session is perfect for infants\, toddlers\, and preschoolers\, though older siblings are welcome to join. Your registration includes admission to the museum for the whole day\, so you and your little ones can continue exploring after the program. SUMMARY:Closing the Gap Professional Dev. Session: AI in Education
DESCRIPTION:From 4-6 PM\, spend a fun and enlightening evening with CAM during an exclusive professional development session. Closing the Gap highlights the ease of arts-integrated learning in the classroom. Each session focuses on topical education concerns\, artwork on view at CAM or in the permanent collection\, and supporting our teachers and students with standards-rooted lesson plans. \nIn honor of the Rising Stars exhibition\, we will take a deeper look at emerging trends in the art room and classroom environment. After the Closing the Gap session\, there will be an illustrated lecture and panel discussion with members of the NCAEA on the impact of arts education and influential contemporary artists. Learn more. We will explore the future of AI in the art world and how to prepare students for the innovations it will bring. \nClosing the Gap (CTG) workshops train educators\, from Pre-K to College\, how to use the arts to teach core curriculum and help close the achievement gap through active learning strategies that engage all learners. CAM Education staff leads participants through a variety of activities. \nThese workshops are designed to teach educators how to use the arts to teach core curriculum and help close the achievement gap through active learning strategies that engage all learners. These workshops are free to all educators in Bladen\, Brunswick\, Columbus\, Duplin\, New Hanover\, Onslow\, Pender\, and Sampson counties. Participating educators will receive a certificate of completion to submit to their respective counties for CEU credit consideration. \nSpend time networking with fellow educators or tour the galleries with CAM Education staff. Review the CAM Educator Lesson Plans for ways to use current exhibitions in your classroom. \nJoin us for an event to support our area’s educators with the tools and inspiration needed to continue their work at minimizing those learning gaps. \n\n\n\n\nThis professional development workshop is provided free to all educators.
