Join us for an exciting evening of modern jazz with Jay Killman & the Constellations Quartet, live as part of the Cameron Art Museum’s Jazz at CAM series. This dynamic quartet, led by the innovative guitarist and composer Jay Killman, brings a fresh and eclectic sound that transcends traditional jazz boundaries. Killman’s original compositions blend genres such as swing, indie, blues, R&B, hip hop, and romantic classical, creating a musical journey that is as emotional as it is technically brilliant.
Each piece by Killman is more than just a tune—it’s a deeply personal story, inspired by significant moments and people in his life. His work has graced prestigious stages like the Rose Theatre at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York and the Monterey Bay Jazz Festival in California, earning acclaim for its depth and creativity.
The Constellations Quartet—featuring Carlos Garcia on piano, David Canning on bass, and Jon Hill on drums—has been together for nearly a decade. This long-standing collaboration allows each musician to elevate the other, pushing the music to new heights and delivering a captivating performance that resonates with audiences.
