Closing the Gap is a unique professional development workshop that introduces teachers to art integration and active learning in New Hanover, Brunswick, Bladen, Columbus, Pender, Onslow, Sampson, and Duplin counties. These workshops address the growing achievement gaps through arts integration.
Closing the Gap provides teachers with valuable Continuing Education Units (CEUs), which they can use to maintain certification. Participants also receive brand-new lesson plans that demonstrate how to integrate art and active learning into science, technology, engineering, math, language arts, history, as connected to CAM’s exhibition and permanent collection.
