Unity With Variety – Exploring Composition

Designed for the experienced oil painter, this class will explore how variety of color, value, shape , and edges can add interest - or create chaos - in your
paintings. Finding the balance in painting with enough variety to be interesting - and enough unity to hold together - is critical to good design. The role
of these visual elements and principles in composition will be explored in slide presentations and lots of individual attention. Students will work from still life and their photos .
