The Shell Collector
Do you love seashells, working with your hands, mixed media, indigo dyed paper and cloth, found and recycled materials, book arts and the sea? If yes, this workshop is for you. Learn to make a seashell book with clam shells. Dye paper and fabric, learn to create signatures for your shell book, bind with waxed linen thread and embellish a box with seashells for holding the finished shell book. Using fabric you have dyed stitch a bag to hold your book for placing in your special box.

Supplies:
Bring your favorite shells and collecting stories. Boxes, clam shells, miscellaneous small shells, tools and supplies for making your book, creating your box and bag will be provided by your instructor. $40 supply fee.
