Shadows and Reflections

Let's explore how both shadow and reflections tell a story in your paintings.

Using dramatic lighting, we will explore how "Less is More", and how shapes can tell the whole story in your painting without a lot of detail! Come have fun and use your imagination differently while painting.

Hard Pastels - NuPastel brand
Medium Pastels- Rembrandt, Holbein, Richeson
SOFT Pastels- Blue Earth, Terry Ludwig, Unison, Sennelier, etc
SMOOTH Surface: Pastelmat (comes in pads or single sheets and many colors)
SANDED Surface:UART, comes in 2 colors only, tan or black BUT comes in many grits, the higher the number #(800) the less gritty--- (#320 the most gritty)
White Tape
Charcoal pencils and paper
Optional: Value Chart and Color Wheel
