Hand Paper Making

Embark on a hands-on journey into papermaking with local plant fibers. You'll learn how to identify, harvest, and process plants for hand papermaking, and gain skills in pulping, pressing, and drying textured papers. Discover how to make formation aids and explore natural dyes, including indigo grown by the instructor. Create a supply of paper for printing, drawing, writing, and sculpture and experiment with creative pulp techniques. Throughout the workshop, you'll learn to dye paper.
