Tift Merritt @ CAM

Monday, 8/19/2019
2:00PM-3:00PM
2:00 pm and 7:00 pm

CAM welcomes NC native Tift Merritt for two concerts benefiting scholarships and field trips for unserved youth. Merritt, a Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, has released seven studio albums and has been compared to artists Joni Mitchell and Emmylou Harris. NPR wrote that her latest album, "Stitch of the World" (2017), “contains some of her best writing.”

Merritt started her musical career playing the front porch at the General Store in Bynum, NC. It was here in Bynum that she met artist Clyde Jones, whose work is featured in CAM’s current exhibition Minnie, Clyde, Annie, Vollis (on view through Sept. 22). Purchase seats on CAM’s website, by phone and at CAM’s Visitor Services desk. Admission: $40.00 preferred seating, $25.00 general seating (tax and fees not included). Weyerhaeuser Reception Hall.
