Artists Camille Akeju ("The Guardian", oil pastel), Benjamin Billingsley ("Untitled", silkscreen monoprint) ) and Carolyn Witkowski ("The Inuit", pastel-broken color) whose work is on view in CAM’s current exhibition "State of the Art/Art of the State" come together for an informal conversation on their art work. Join in the discussion about their inspiration and process.

EDUCATORS NIGHT

Our spring Educators Night will provide information and materials about tours, workshops, lesson plans, and other free resources for area educators. All educators and administrators - from Pre-K to College - welcome and encouraged to attend and explore fun ways to bring art into your classroom and spark creativity in your students. Highlights of the evening include: a preview of CAM's free professional development workshop "Closing the Gap", tours of the new exhibition "North Carolina Arts Council Artist Fellowship 2017 Award Exhibition" and "State of the Art/Art of the State".

Explore our brand new exhibition "North Carolina Arts Council Fellowship 2017 Award Exhibition" as well as "State of the Art/Art of the State". Don’t miss this day of fun and creativity!
Kids @ CAM is fun for all ages! Parental supervision required at all times. No pre-registration necessary.

Dance Works-in-Progress Showcase

The Dance Cooperative, in association with CAM, provides informal showings to give working choreographers and dancers a place to present works in progress for review and critique in a nurturing environment. The public is invited to witness the creative process through its many stages and provide assistance to help the creator grow the works to realize their concepts to the fullest potential. If you are interested in presenting work, e-mail: dancecooperative@gmail.com no later than the Monday preceding each showcase. Free and open to the public.
